Gray-headed Junco
  Junco hyemalis

* A form of the Dark-eyed Junco. The Gray-headed form breeds in the mountains of Utah and Arizona and is a common migrant.

* Prefers forests, open woodlands, and brushy areas.

* Easily identified by russet colored back.

* Scratches in litter with both feet. When disturbed it will fly to the lower branches of trees.
