Glacier Lily (Dogtooth Violet)
  Erythronium grandiflorum

* Blooms very early in April, just after the snow melts.

* Found in shady woodland areas.

* A favorite wildflower, like a small all-yellow tiger lily.

* Has many names,such as Dogtooth Violet, but it is a lily, not a violet.

* About 8 to 10 inches tall.
