Poison Hemlock
  Conium maculatum

* Plant is very poisonous.

* Grows in moist to dry ground in open fields and on ditch banks.

* Member of the carrot and parsley family.

* Leaves are thrice compound and can be confused with edible relatives, hence it is wise not to eat any member of this family unless identification is very certain. Stems of this poisonous member have purple splotches.

* Can grow to six feet or more.
