Watercress
  Nasturtium officinale or Rorippa aquaticum

* Related to cabbage, radishes, and mustards.

* Grows in gently running water.

* Like other mustard plants, the spicy and succulent leaves are edible.

* However, plants harvested in the wild may contain giardia and cryptosporidium, which need to be killed by thorough washing and cooking first. It should never be eaten raw where animals have been.
