  Archilochus alexandri

* May eat three times its weight in nectar on cold days.

* Occupies wide range of habitats, including riparian corridors, dry hillsides, and urban areas.

* Nest of stretchy spider webs expands as youngsters grow.

* Males feed higher up on canyon walls, females spend most of their time in canyon bottoms.
