Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
  Polioptila caerulea

* Song is a soft series of buzzy sounds, almost inaudible to some.

* Looks like a miniature Mockingbird. Only the hummingbird is smaller in weight.

* Fairly abundant in foothills but seldom seen.

* Flicks tail from side to side. Constantly darting from one shrub to another.

* Prefers scrub oak and thickets, especially near water.
