Cervus canadensis

* Spend summers in mountain meadows and forests. Spend winters in foothills and valley grasslands. Have been seen on the grasslands of the Bonneville Shoreline and vicinity in Draper and Lehi. They retreat to the Lone Peak Wilderness in Summer.

* Primarily grazers, feeding upon grasses but woody plants, mushrooms, and forbes are also eaten.
