Long-tailed Weasel
 

Mustela frenata

* Smaller than a Ferret but related. Fairly tolerant of human presence, common throughout Utah.

* Diet consists of rodents, insects, birds.

* Occurs in numerous types of habitats.

* Dens are located in abandoned burrows of other animals, under rocks and brush piles.

* In winter fur turns almost completely white.
