Wood's Rose
  Rosa woodsii

* Grows in rich moist, generally shady soils in canyons below 9000 feet.

* Pink five-petalled flowers on reddish stems.

* Red hips remain after leaves fall. Juice from rose hips is 24 times higher in vitamin C than orange juice.

* Hips can be made into jellies and tea.
