Coyote
 

Canis latrans

* Occur in wide variety of habitats including deserts, grasslands, forests, and city suburbs.

* Considered a pest because they occasionally kill pets, livestock, and young game animals.

* They are opportunistic feeders, and mainly consume small animals and carrion, and sometimes plant material.

* Active year round and mostly nocturnal. At times calls can be heard at night.
