Wild Blue Flax
  Linum Lewisii

* Native plant with delightfully sky-blue flowers. Grows on foothills and in canyons. (Please do not pick; leave them to be enjoyed.)

* Used since primitive times because of the strength of the fibers (“linen” originally meant fabric woven from flax fibers).

* Linseed oil is made from the seeds of commercially grown flax. Flax seed oil is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids.
